Quitting with the nicotine patch & gum

The nicotine patch and gum are well-known, safe, over-the-counter quit smoking aids that have been shown to help smokers control their nicotine withdrawal symptoms and cravings as they quit smoking.

With the support of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, LTPB has created an electronic ordering system for young adults to order free nicotine patches or gum.

Smokers who receive free nicotine patches or gum can share their views by answering a short online survey at 6-months about the products and their own smoking and quitting experiences. To read the full, detailed information page about how to get free nicotine patches and gum, click here.

If you have general questions about Leave The Pack Behind’s provision of nicotine patches or gum, please contact Leave The Pack Behind at: T 905-688-5550 x4992 E LTPBOffice@brocku.ca

If you have any questions about the nicotine patch or gum, you should speak to your health care provider (i.e., doctor, nurse or pharmacist). Receiving the patch or gum through Leave The Pack Behind should in no way be taken as a form of medical consultation or substitute for consultation with a health professional. In fact, speaking to a health professional can double your chances of successfully quitting smoking.
