Hello! My name is Shannon Unger. I am the Campus Program
Coordinator for Leave the Pack Behind. I became involved with
the group because like most, my personal involvement with cigarette
smoking goes back to my own smoking behaviour. I have since quit
and understand the difficulty in doing so. I appreciate a healthier
lifestyle and the money it saves me. I am proud to be helping
others through education and research with Leave the Pack Behind

My name is Selina Day and I am a part of the Communications
staff for Leave the Pack Behind. I am in my last year at Nipissing
University and will be in the Faculty of Education next year.
I wanted to be a part of this team because I enjoy interacting
with students especially when it comes to awareness on such serious
topics as smoking. I am one of the only people in my family who
does not smoke. I have learned the effects of smoking can be detrimental
to one’s health and I want to be a part of helping other
people realize that. I am looking forward to this year!

My name is Tara Neville and I joined Leave The Pack Behind
because I am a person who is optimistic about the future. I want
my future to be a healthy one. Being smoke free is something I
care very much about. As a child of a parent who has emphysema
as a direct result of smoking, I see first hand the effect smoking
has not only on my parent’s body, but also on how it limits them
in their daily activities. I am hoping that by advocating this
program, I might be able to help others make a healthy choice,
not only for them, but also for the future.
