Campus Program Coordinator needed for the Leave The Pack
Behind Project at Mohawk Medical Services

Leave The Pack Behind at Mohawk College, a program designed to
provide students with information about smoking is looking for
a part-time Campus Program Coordinator to run the project 10 hours/week
beginning in March for training and starts again in August 2004.
This position is ideal for an upper year student, with pay ranging
from $12/hour (Depending on funding). Graduates of degree and
diploma programs are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities include:
increasing your knowledge of tobacco related issues and health
promotion; coordinating the planning, implementation, and evaluation
phases of the project; to be responsible for the day-to-day operations
of the project at Mohawk; to manage a staff of two; to participate
regularly in teleconferences with other Program Coordinators at
college and university campuses; and to provide tracking information
for the project.
Qualifications: Senior year or with a diploma
or degree from a recognized institution; an interest/experience
in health promotion and education; excellent verbal and communication
skills; strong abilities in interpersonal and group skills; a
self-directed learner.
